MOD MULTI-TARGET

Multi-target treatments using a single-isocenter technique

Quote

CONNECTED automatic analysis of dicom images acquired to check the geometric accuracy of multi-target treatments using a single-isocenter technique.

Connected to the QUALIMAGIQ platform, it takes the MULTI-TARGET module only 2 mouse clicks to analyse the many (24 or 40) DICOM images (high energy portal images) acquired to check the geometric accuracy of multi-target treatments using a single-isocenter technique.

When you declare the analysis protocol in QUALIMAGIQ, the software automatically gives you the list of, respectively, 24 or 40 beams to plan to perform the test according to the position of, respectively, 3, 5 or 6 radiopaque balls (targets) of your phantom and the characteristics of your MLC (number and width of leaves).

During the analysis, QUALIMAGIQ measures in each of the 24 or 40 images, the shift between the center of the radiopaque ball and the center of the irradiated field.

Then, it removes from these measured shifts those expected due to the MLC characteristics  with respect to the balls not aligned on the isocenter and therefore the shifts not related to the geometric precision of the treatment machine.

Lastly, QUALIMAGIQ calculates the largest residual shift between the center of the target and the center of the field as well as the average of these shifts over all the images acquired.

Specifications

Less than 30 minutes is all the time you need to perform the entire control: installation of the test object, image acquisition and analysis, editing of 6 different PDF analysis reports and a trend curve for each tested parameter.

Associated test objects:

All phantoms comprising 3, 5 or 6 radiopaque balls embedded in a homogeneous or complex medium.
