MOD SPECT

QUALIMAGIQ modules for a comprehensive and fully automatic QA of a SPECT camera

Quote

CONNECTED TO THE QUALIMAGIQ PLATFORM, IT TAKES MOD-SPECT MODULES ONLY 2 MOUSE CLICKS AND LESS THAN 20 SECONDS TO ANALYsE THE MANY dicom IMAGES ACQUIRED for the QA of your SPECT scan used in planar, whole body and tomographic modes.

BY FAR THE BEST SOLUTION FOR SPECT camera QA!

Before carrying out the tests, all MOD-SPECT modules automatically process the “image” volumes by segmenting them into perfectly identified transverse slices, by sorting these slices and by grouping them together for the requirements of certain tests.

For every head of the SPECT camera, the MOD-SPECT software module in its Planar version analyses automatically DICOM images from the following tests:

  • Multiple window spatial registration : 3 or 5 points from a 67Ga, 111In or 201Tl source;
  • Intrinsic uniformity;
  • Intrinsic spatial resolution with a 4 quadrant pattern (Hander and Droege-Morin methods);
  • Intrinsic spatial linearity for the 2 directions of the image plane with the same 4 quadrant pattern;
  • System uniformity;
  • System spatial resolution with a multi-line phantom (99mTc serpentine source) for various thicknesses of attenuating materials and for the 2 directions of the image plane;
  • System spatial linearity with the multi-line phantom (99mTc serpentine source) for various thicknesses and attenuating materials and for 2 directions of the image plane.

The MOD-SPECT software module in its Tomo version analyses automatically DICOM images from the following tests:

  • Centre of rotation test, to determine the axial and transverse elongations and the axial and transverse shifts;
  • Triple line test to determine the central, radial and tangential spatial resolutions;
  • Noise homogeneity, noise-to-signal ratio and uniformity of the entire homogeneous section of the JASZCZAK phantom;
  • Spatial resolution with the Droege and Morin method in the entire hole section of the JASZCZAK phantom;
  • Contrast, through analysis of the signals in the 6 cold spheres of the JASZCZAK phantom’s section designed for this purpose: objective method based on a calibrated “software eye” which assigns a score in terms of number of visible targets.

For every head of the SPECT camera, the MOD-SPECT software module in its Body version analyses automatically DICOM images from the following tests:

  • Integral and differential system non uniformities with or without resizing of the image matrix, application of a smoothing filter and exclusion of lateral bands corresponding to the attenuation of the patient couch;
  • Relative deviation of the counting rate;
  • Constancy of scan speed;
  • System spatial resolution with a multi-line phantom (99mTc serpentine source) for various thicknesses of attenuating materials and for the two directions of the image plane;
  • Differential and absolute system spatial linearity with a multi-line phantom (99mTc serpentine source) for various thicknesses of attenuating materials and for the two directions of the image plane;
  • Longitudinal alignment of the geometrical and electrical scan axes.
